Mobile GTU

Lease of mobile gas turbine power unit packs and substations.

Total contract value: RUB 8.2 billion

This 8-year lease project (2006-2014) includes the purchase and integrated delivery of 10 mobile power units manufactured by Pratt & Whitney Corporation.

Mobile gas turbine units can be used as a temporary source of additional power supply until the construction and modernization of electric power facilities in Moscow are completed. This project, signed in May 2006, is targeted to guarantee reliable power supply for consumers, expand the transmission capacity of power grids and prevent energy shortfalls due to the growing energy consumption in Moscow Region.

JSC “Mobile GTES” , established in 2006, is a 100% daughter company of RAO “UES of Russia” . The company focuses on the installation of mobile gas turbine power units in order to cover the peak load for electricity and prevent energy shortfalls. JSC “Mobile GTES” operates in Moscow city, Moscow region, Novorossiysk (Krasnodar Region) and Vladivostok (Russian Far East).
